Palm Beach, Gold Coast trophy home sells for $5.05 million

A luxury waterfront at Palm Beach on Queensland's Gold Coast has been sold for a record price of $5.05 million.

The home at 146-150 Tallebudgera Drive fetched a record for canal front property in the suburb, according to Kollosche selling agent Rob Lamb.

It came with a six-bedroom, six-bathroom early 1980s house on the 2740 sq m holding.

The auction attracted 25 registered bidders including strong interest from interstate buyers, one of them picking up the keys having bid from a phone.

The agents fielded over 240 inquiries and had 136 inspections over the 35-day campaign, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

There were 25 registered bidders 

The block has 75 metres of water frontage.
