Outgoing Sydney Swans chief executive Andrew Ireland and wife Kelly snappily sold Hurlstone, their Centennial Park home mid-week for $4.45 million.
There had been $4 million hopes for its scheduled late September auction.
Ireland doesn't need to be so close to the SCG HQ now he's retiring from the role after a decade at the end of this year.
The couple bought the 1910 Cook Road home, which has been re-designed by Pierre Della-Putta, for $1,745,000 in 2007.
The Brisbane bound couple retain a long-time Norman Park house, which cost $465,000 in 2005, and two years ago bought a three bedroom Teneriffe apartment just outside of Brisbane for $1,175,000.
He will remain a director on the board and has entered into a long-term consultancy arrangement with the club in business operations and list management.
Under his tenure, Ireland has been involved in five grand final appearances and two premierships.
