Oscar winner John Lancken lists Killarney Heights home
John Lancken, whose film work has secured two Oscars, has his Killarney Heights home listed with $2.2 million hopes.
The five-bedroom house is on the market for the first time in 16 years.
It was bought shortly after receiving his first Academy Award in the US for the development of the digital recording systems used for soundtracks for major feature film releases.
Lancken says the only noise heard from the property the kookaburras.
The house has a northeast aspect, walls of glass, views over Garigal National Park from its 778 sqm holding.
Lancken paid $883,750 for the home in 2001.
The home goes to auction on March 11 through Raine & Horne Forestville - Frenchs Forest agents Melinda Dunn and Sam Pfafflin.
John won the Academy Award for the development of the first digital recording systems that were used to record soundtracks for major feature film releases.
He has worked on films including The Matrix, Heat and The Firm starring Tom Cruise.
