Former Olympic sprinter turned Fox Sports presenter Matt Shirvington and author wife Jessica have bought back in to the Mosman market, nearly a year after selling their former lower north shore home.

They've paid around $7.5 million for another Federation-era mansion, this one much bigger, coming with seven bedrooms, a tennis court and a swimming pool with spa.

There's also a self-contained studio above the garage.

The Raglan Street home last traded for $322,000 in 1980 when it was bought by former WorleyParsons executive Emil Finn and wife Genevieve.

The Shirvington's sold their former updated 1897 home (pictured main) for $4.15 million last August, scoring the pre-auction sale through McGrath's Michael Coombs.

It was the third time the couple tried to sell the home.

They had paid $2.5 million in 2008.

Fellow Fox Sports presenters have also been busy in the property market.

Louise Ransome and her partner Richard Bayliss bought a Federation home in Kensington this weekend.

Late last year Braith Anasta too was busy assembling the family homes with a couple of properties in Coogee. One for himself and one for his mum.
