Alawa tops list of 2017 Darwin property hotspots for investing in houses

Alawa takes the equal top spot as Darwin's 2016/2017 hotspot for investing in houses with an expected increase of three percent over the next 12 months.

The current median price at Alawa is $570,000, according to APM, in their forecast developed by APM senior economist, Dr Andrew Wilson.

An example would be a three bedroom house at 105 Alawa Cresecent (above) that is currently on sale for over $610,000, which is $40,000 more than the median price.

Similarly a three bedroom house at 47 Britomart Gardens (above) was recently sold for $595,000, which is $25,000 above the median price.

The Smart Investor magazine, published by Fairfax Media, ranked Fannie bay as equal best hotspot.
