Locals of Lake Cathie, the small waterfront town on the Mid North Coast, are expected to jump at the opportunity to secure an apartment in The Pacific at Catarina Beachfront Estate.

There's been no opportunity previously to buy brand new in the suburb. In fact of the 2,000 dwellings in Lake Cathie, only 60 are apartments, according to CoreLogic data.

The majority of the buyers are expected to be downsizers, given over 50 per cent of the popular are over 55, and the majority of those over 70, the latest ABS Census Data shows.

Developer Justice Fox Property Group recently released the project, near Middle Rock Beach, to the market. It comprises just 41 two and three-bedroom apartments including four penthouses.

The Pacific is the first release at Catarina Estate – the foundation of what will become a vibrant beachside community.

The Pacific responds to its unique location in one of Lake Cathie's relatively untouched enclaves with a design that is meticulous, considered and engaging.

The architects ELK Architecture have embraced light and the ocean as design elements, interpreting its many moods as the seasons change.

The kitchens feature 40mm stone benchtops and Travertine tiles, while the bathrooms and ensuites feature premium fittings and free-standing tubs. Every apartment opens to expansive outdoor terraces.

"The Pacific’s residences, and indeed the entire Catarina Estate, are designed for their owners to extract the very essence of beauty from this remarkable part of the NSW Central North Coastline," ELK Architecture Director Daniel Hadley says.

"Our goal was to intrinsically link the flow and curve of the built form to the natural."

The sprawling penthouses range in size up to 339 sqm of internal and external living spaces.

The Pacific is the most prominent of the 16 buildings planned for Catarina Estate.

There's a future retail precinct planned with cafes, shops, and hospitality venues, as well as conference facilities, a function centre, a pub and a gym.

Lake Cathie is located on the Mid North Coast, around 15-minutes from Port Macquarie.

Developer Justice Fox Property Group have extensive experience developing by the water. They've previously completed projects in Eden on the NSW South Coast and Gerroa near Kiama.
