Top Spring secure Double Bay's second most expensive apartment at Ode Double Bay
Following the $25 million record sale of the penthouse in Ode Double Bay, Top Spring Australia has announced the second biggest apartment sale in the luxury harbourside suburb.
Sub-penthouse 403 has sold through 1st City Projects principles Brad Caldwell-Eyles and Julian Hasemer for just shy of $17.5 million. The apartment has over 300 sqm of internal living space and a further 62 sqm of external space.
“The purchaser sought a premium, large-scale residence with village convenience and northerly harbour outlook as they downsize from their current inner-west home," Caldwell-Eyles said.
"Well-travelled, Ode, Double Bay offered the ideal mix of European design with the best of Sydney lifestyle."
As part of Top Spring Australia’s post exchange service, buyers also have the opportunity to engage with the interior design team through a one-on-one consultation experience.
The sub-penthouse buyer has already nominated to include marble sinks and vanities that are a key feature of the powder rooms into each of the bathrooms. They will also have the ability to select home appliances from their own preferred supplier.
Construction is set to begin in the early stages of 2023 on Ode, with a proposed completion date of Q1 2025.
Occupying a prominent corner site at 19-27 Cross Street, and featuring architecture by the celebrated Luigi Rosselli, Ode, Double Bay is a mix of European refinement, artisan interiors and the ultimate Eastern Suburbs lifestyle.
Residents will also benefit from the spat of high end retailers finding home across the ground floor plane of the development, which will link directly to a proposed public plaza with street level dining, cafes and bars.
Christian Verges and Anthony Moustacas of Double Bay café Indigo bought the first two ground floor spaces for $10.1 million, with the duo set to celebrate 20 years in business by relocating their cafe across the street when the development is complete in 2025.
“Verges and Moustacas are super excited to be a part of Double Bay’s premiere project and take Double Bay dining to a new level," Caldwell-Eyles added.
The Glebe-based restaurant Carte will open its second premises from Ode, securing the third 137 sqm retail space for $5.7 million.
Ode, Double Bay residents will enjoy exclusive offers, including free dining gift vouchers, exclusive fine dining experiences at home with Carte’s chef, access to invite- only events and previews, free art classes and discounts on artworks.
