Holm Developments to start construction at Kai Kingscliff apartments
Queensland-based developer Holm Developments is gearing up to break ground on Kai Kingscliff, its second venture in the Tweed Coast and the first luxury beachfront project of its kind underway in the region.
Demolition has officially commenced on the site of Kai Kingscliff, paving the way for the start of construction next month.
Kai Kingscliff is Holm’s second venture in the area following the $79 million Pama in Casuarina which is 95 per cent sold and due for completion in the third quarter of this year.
Start of demolition for Kai follows the appointment of Infinitec, a multi-disciplined construction and engineering company with more than 40 years’ of experience, as a contract builder for the project.
“We’re thrilled to announce that early works are officially underway on our second project on the Tweed Coast,” Holm Developments Managing Director Godfrey Esmonde said.
“With sales on the board and funding in place, our team is now moving quickly to bring this exciting new project to Kingscliff as soon as possible, with construction anticipated to get underway next month in April.”
Nestled along the pristine shores of Dreamtime Beach, just north of the Kingscliff strip, Kai Kingscliff comprises 14 three and four-bedroom beachfront apartments, topped by three spacious penthouses that will make the most of the rare beachfront location.
One of the penthouses is spoken for, picked up by a local for $4.65 million.
The project also features three ground-floor apartments, all of which have either a front or rear yard and span between 332 spm and 447 sqm.
“For us as a company, we need to be passionate about what we deliver and where it’s delivered, nothing invokes that passion more than iconic locations such as Kingscliff,” Esmonde added.
“When people look at our projects to date, they will see developments where the natural beauty and amenity of the location does the talking for us.
“I want our projects to enhance these locations but not overpower, the star of the show shouldn’t be the development or the developer, it should be the combination of the architecture and interior design blending seamlessly with the natural environment to create a truly remarkable outcome enjoyed by the few lucky enough to reside in such a location.”
CBRE Senior Director Nicholas Clysdale said Holm engaged Brisbane architecture firm Tim Stewart Architects to tailor a design that maximises this sensation of having the rainforest and beach elements at your fingertips.
“Kai Kingscliff is the quintessential coastal address for a life that nourishes the soul. Situated just a stone’s throw from Kingscliff village, this boutique offering sits on the cusp of Dreamtime beach and offers the very best in penthouse-style living," Clysdale said.
“The sheer size and sophistication of these spaces sets these apartments apart. Large balconies, massive doors that open into the dining room, crossflow ventilation throughout, balconies off the master bedrooms that look out into the hinterland, wherever you look there is a fantastic outlook.”
Residents will also have exclusive access to a resort-style pool and leisure area on the ground floor, which will also feature an outdoor shower, a well-appointed lobby and a bike and surfboard storage area.
"The allure of Kai Kingscliff extends far beyond the bricks and mortar," Clydsdale added.
He said the penthouse buyer fell in love with its location on Dreamtime beach.
"Sitting at the foot of the rainforest and flowing onto the beach, there is no comparable location in Northern NSW or Gold Coast.”
Prices for apartments start from $3.505 million.
