Artist Ben Hall lists his inner city Newtown warehouse

The former canvas factory in Newtown owned by artist Ben Hall has been listed for sale through Ercan Ersan at BresicWhitney Estate Agents.

The architecturally reinvented Trade Street warehouse home comes with soaring ceilings, exposed beam structures along with handmade features ensuring great use of light.

The price guide is more than $1.1 million.

There are exterior terrace spaces.

It has three bedrooms plus along with stainless steel breakfast bar kitchen and sky lit shower space.

Its upper level has a bedroom and study with balcony.

Ben Hall's paintings are abstractions inspired by the Australian landscape.

He studied art under Roland Wakelin and Lloyd Rees while studying architecture at Sydney University.

He is also a master woodworker, having crafted baroque musical instruments, some of which are included in the Powerhouse Museum.

The 1930/40s warehouse will go to auction on March 23.

It was bought by Hall in 1980.
