As part of North Sydney’s revitalisation as the city’s latest foodie destination, Aqualand has announced four new retail ventures planned for its $1 billion luxury mixed-use residential development AURA by Aqualand.

All four venues will be developed and operated by Etymon Projects, the hospitality and services arm of Aqualand and designed by the award-winning H&E Architects with interiors by COX Architects.

On the list is an LA-inspired all-day diner, a bakery, a cafe and wine bar, which will transform from casual dining throughout the day to a sophisticated wine bar by night, along with a modern Japanese restaurant and a new providore.

The announcement follows Etymon’s success in curating the likes of Loulou Boulangerie, Bistro and Traiteur at the developer’s award-winning Blue at Lavender Bay development.

Etymon is also planning a further restaurant opening for North Sydney in Spring 2023, offering an all-day dining contemporary steak and seafood grill, cocktail and lounge bar with private dining room potential and multiple outdoor terraces at 1 Denison Street.

Once renowned as an office precinct, North Sydney is transforming into a vibrant, exciting place to live.

The new Sydney metro train line linking North Sydney with Barangaroo and beyond from early 2024, along with 19 public domain projects, parks, plazas and laneways, has inspired substantial private and public investment in North Sydney’s CBD with a shared vision for its future.

With all this amenity and positive change comes an influx of new residential developments, attracting downsizers to the area who want more cafés, shopping, and restaurants downstairs from their apartments for the ultimate in easy living.

Designed by lauded architectural firm Woods Bagot with interiors by Richards Stanisich, the heirloom 386-apartment luxury residential tower and retail offering at 168 Walker Street, AURA by Aqualand is at the heart of North Sydney’s transformation.

A short walk from AURA uncovers secret gardens, wide-open green spaces and the undulating sandstone curves of the Harbour, while an array of nearby parklands make leisure and fitness easy for residents.

Just 4.3 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD and a 1.3 kilometre walk to the Harbour Bridge, North Sydney makes taking advantage of everything the harbour city offers easy.

Only minutes by car or train to the CBD, the new Victoria Cross Metro Station can be accessed next to the development’s northern entry, which when complete will allow travel to Barangaroo in just three minutes and to Chatswood in six minutes.
