Manly Sea Eagles star Tom Trbojevic is continuing to bulk up his property portfolio, now rivalling that of his teammate brother, Jake's.

Tom, 21, has just secured his second property in two years, paying $1 million for another Manly Vale investment unit.

Jake, two years older, began the property competition in 2014, buying a Narrabeen apartment. He backed that up with a Brookvale apartment, even before ToTm got on the ladder.

Now Tom has two.

The young brothers have been the stars at the Sea Eagles over the last few years and both played a part in the World Cup winning Kangaroo's squad.

Tom's most recent purchase is a 120 sqm, two bedroom apartment in a 10 year old boutique complex in Manly Vale (above and below).

He paid $1 million for the unit that last traded for $490,000 10 years ago.

It found a tenant at $750 a week, which gave Tom a near four percent yield. When marketed for rent by Robin Kennedy at Sweetnams Real Estate Balgowlah it was advertised "for a long lease".

The apartment sold recently in 17 days after having a guide of $950,000 to $1 million.

Tom's first purchase came nearly a year ago when a two bedroom unit also in Manly Vale cost him $895,000.

Tom's $1,895,000 portfolio now tops Jake's for their outlay.

Jake's two two bedroom properties total $1.27 million. He paid $680,000 in Narrabeen in 2014 and $590,000 in Brookvale last year.

Other NRL young guns are starting to enter the Sydney property market with the price cooling after tightened investor lending regulations offering an entry for first home buyers.

South Sydney Rabbitoh rising star Tyrell Fuimaono has paid $785,000 for a two bedroom Alexandria apartment.

The 21 year old centre played 15 games in his first season for the Souths, not missing a game after his debut in May.

Wests Tigers exciting forward Josh Aloiai went to Queensland to buy his first home.

He's paid $289,000 for a four bedroom investment home in Eagleby, half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It was bought tenanted at $300 a week until mid next year.

Of course the biggest NRL property purchase of the year came from a recruit from Melbourne.

Storm legend Cooper Cronk settled on a $3.5 million Mosman house with future wife, Fox Sports presenter Tara Rushton (above).

They bought the home before it was announced that Cronk would turn out for the Roosters for the next two years.

The couple have both since leased their former homes. Rushton's was an apartment in Kirribilli and Cronk's a townhouse in Richmond.

There were also plenty of moves which saw NRL stars take to the development game.

South Sydney Rabbitoh Robbie Farah bought a knockdown rebuild in the inner-west last year and has recently submitted approval for the demolition of the exisiting structure and construction of a dual occupancy each with strata and swimming pool.

The Wareemba property cost Farah $2,406,000.

He'll no doubt be seeking tips from new Wests Tigers new man Josh Reynolds and Bulldog Michael Lichaa, who both have completed one of their Sutherland Shire developments (above) and have settled on another a few doors down.
