A tightly-held home with views of the harbour at Northbridge has been sold for $5.25 million, $750,000 above reserve.

Located at 29 Weemala Road, it has a 180 degree view over the harbour and all the way to Spit Bridge.

Selling agent David Howe said six of the seven registered bidders were of Chinese background.

Two buyers fought for it after opening the bid at $4.5 million.

It has been held by the same family for 60 years offered to the market for the first time.

Multiple sunlit alfresco spaces are available with formal and informal living.

Village shops, cafes and transports are all minutes away.
