The North Point Residence, one of the Tweed Coast's most opulent homes, has been withdrawn from sale.

It had record hopes of $6.95 million.

The Paul Uhlmann-designed home on the dress circle North Point Avenue in Kingscliff was completed in 2011, shortly before it sold for $3.15 million.

In 2015 the already sprawling home was added to, with an extension described as the round house.

LJ Hooker Kingscliff listing agent Nick Witheriff says locals know the home as the Round House as that's the most prominent feature seen from the street.

The two level round house, connected to the main house through a foyer, comprises a master retreat on the second level, with the curved floor to ceiling windows offering the best vantage point over the 18 metre pool and tennis court.

On the ground level is a home office and a living space.

There are four more bedrooms in the main home which is wrapped in a decked verandah on its 1,960 sqm parcel.
