The North Bondi apartment passed through the family of singer-songwriter Missy Higgins has sold in double quick time.

It fetched $1.72 million prior to its auction and $220,000 over expectations through Raine & Horne agent Monique March.

Higgins paid $636,000 in 2005, the year she won five ARIA's and an MTV Australia award.

She called it home for nearly 10 years before selling to her parents in 2015.

A few months later her parents sold to Missy's sister, artist Nicola, who was the vendor.

The two bedroom beachside apartment is set in a block of four with a private garden.
