Newcastle Knights player Willie Mason has secured around $2.5 million for his Clovelly investment home.

The two-bedroom semi was passed in at its 21 June auction with no bids.

The Newcastle Knights forward property auction had attracted three registered parties.

The two-bedroom designer semi opposite Clovelly Baths with views of Wedding Cake Island was bought in 2007 when the NRL player paid $2.3 million.

Subsequent negotiations to a local through Belle Property Bondi Junction Daniel Gillespie has secured its sale, but no sale price disclosure.
