The interior decorator, and eastern suburbs socialite, Janelle 'Nellie' Tilley has sold her Double Bay home for about $6 million.

The three-bedroom terrace in the heart of the high-end village was bought by Tricia and Steve Stevens.

The Victorian terrace appeared in Vogue Living in 2012, but it has been updated even more recently.

Near the heart of Double Bay village, the home blends contemporary with classic, with traditional facade and restored period features combined with custom upgrades and additions.

A flowing floor plan provides two distinct living areas.

An internal atrium with a soaring mosaic wall features, as well as an entertainers' balcony and rear courtyard.

Each of the three bedrooms have their own balcony, while an entry level home office can be set up as a fourth bedroom.

It was initially listed through Di Baker at Di Baker Prestige Properties with a price guide of $6.3 million to $6.9 million with its sold through McGrath.

Tilley's prior work have included the Point Piper apartment of former Goldman Sachs boss Simon Greenaway that fetched $3.2 million in 2016.

There was also her decor in the three storey Paddington terrace of Credit Suisse managing director Paul Allen and his wife Liz Morgan which fetched $4,465,000 in 2014.

Her home cost Tilley $2.38 million in 2014 from Michael de Meaune.
