Michael and Cathy Wagner, the buyers of the revered central Victorian Musk Farm, have listed in East Melbourne.

They purchased Musk Farm (pictured above), which was famously restored by the late designer Stuart Rattle, because they wanted a tree change.

Their East Melbourne Victorian home built in 1867 still features its classic facade, but the inside has been reimagined over the last two years.

Spread over two levels serviced by an elevator, the home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a second level open roof terrace.

It last traded for $3.7 million in 2014.

Caine Real Estate East Melbourne agent Toby Campbell has set a November 28 private auction.

Since they bought four years ago, they relocated and renovated the kitchen.

They also added a rooftop garden, with an open fireplace and fountain. They have bought a nearby apartment to have as a city base.

The couple spent $2.41 million on Musk Farm.
