Having just sold her Victorian terrace for a Newtown record, singer and violinist Lara Goodridge has settled on the second most expensive home in the suburb.

Goodridge, who forms half of the chanteuse duo Baby et Lulu with Abby Dobson, has spent $3.75 million on a Lennox Street home, having sold her former Watkin Street home for $3.8 million last month.

Her new purchase is a four bedroom architecturally designed home, offering three street frontages, a private barbecue deck, grassed garden and swimming pool.

Urbane Property Newtown agent Charles Bailey and Diana Prineas sold the home.

Goodrige added a new terrace and a Tuscan-style swimming pool to the recent record breaker that she paid $1,783,000 for in 2009.

It was reported Goodridge was expected to live in a converted warehouse that she paid $1.25 million for in 2013.
