Transport industry veteran Ron Murray of Murray's Coach fame has listed his long-held Bellevue Hill home.

Murray, who has been executive chairman of Murrays Australia which he began as a retail travel agent in 1966, has owned the Spanish Mission style Fairfax Road home since 1997 when paying $1.95 million.

Now it has a guide of $6 million.

Entry to the home is through the front yard, past manicured hedges and flower gardens to the colonnaded entrance.

There's a formal living area with a gas fireplace and a home office which opens to the main and side courtyard.

There's also a formal dining space which connects with the marble kitchen and adjoining sitting area which meets a rear conservatory.

All living spaces open to the private swimming pool courtyard on the 695 sqm block, the focal point of the home.

There are four bedrooms in total, three on the second level including the master suite with its own walk in wardrobe and ensuite. The fourth bedroom is on the ground level.

Sydney Sotheby's agent Michael Pallier has a December 19 auction.
