Mole End, a former boat house in Kew that hit the market with $5.5 million to $6 million hopes has been sold. 

Originally Macaulay's Boat House on land purchased in 1887, it is now one of three remaining boat houses and the only residential boat house in Kew. 

The five bedroom, two bathroom house is situated at 8-9 River Retreat

Sitting on a 4,276sqm block, the c1890 home comes with formal sitting and dining, family room, meals and sunroom,  rumpus room and kitchen. 

Other features include outdoor living space, cellar, off-street parking and river's edge pontoon.
