Modernist Mornington Peninsula beach house sold for $1.47 million

The Four Winds, a 1950s modernist Blairgowrie beach house, has been sold for $1.47 million.

Located at 57 Hughes Road, it is right in the middle of the narrowest arm of the Mornington Peninsula.

The three bedroom two bathroom home comprises four living areas including an open plan kitchen dining room.

Four Winds is described in the listing as "Oozing 50s/60s designer flair".

Set on 1,100 square metres the residence is located 800 metres from the ocean and minutes from Koonya Back Beach, Koonya General Store plus the bay beach.

It features a newly renovated kitchen but retains original features such as the gold-trimmed master bedroom cabinetry, pink bath and shower, tiling and more.

Last sold in 2015 it traded at $930,000.
