Mike Baird buys at North Curl Curl
Former NSW premier Mike Baird has spent $3.6 million on a clifftop residence in North Curl Curl through James Eyden and Cherie Humel, of Clarke & Humel.
The two-storey house has an open-plan living and dining area taking in ocean views up and down the coastline.
It was sold by former Coca-Cola and Campbell Arnotts senior executive Gareth Edgecombe, who is now CEO of mattress manufacturer The Comfort Group.
The news of the purchase of the five-bedroom, contemporary residence came as his former constituents attended polling booths on Saturday for the Manly byelection.
The two-storey house has a parent’s retreat.
With a bit of push given anxiety of his deteriorating political antennae, Baird quit the state’s top job in January saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.
The following month it was announced he will join National Australia Bank as chief customer officer of the lender’s corporate and institutional banking unit.
