Runout T20 cricket captain Aaron Finch, who had a big weekend leading his Big Bash team the Melbourne Renegades to final victory against the Melbourne stars, secured the sale of his Melbourne investment apartment just a few hours earlier.

The big hitter sold the two bedroom Kensington warehouse conversion apartment for $590,000, only just higher than the $579,000 paid off the plan in 2010.

Finch watched as two bidders competed when 303/18 Bent Street was offered on Saturday.

Its Rendina agent Lou Rendina had marketed it with $550,000 to $600,000 hopes.

After a $550,000 opening bid, a local couple looking for a new home outbid the investor.
