Melbourne City defender Iacopo La Rocca has sold his two bedroom Sydney apartment.

The former Western Sydney Wanderers player sold the Wentworth Point home for $701,000.

It traded for $11,000 more than the price guide which had been reduced from the initial $700,000 - $770,000 guide presented when it first hit the market.

There were four bidders at auction.

Situated at 842/2 The Crescent, he bought the home for $499,000 during his 2013 debut season.

La Rocca has been renting out the apartment since leaving the Wanderers.

The apartment had a $750 per week rental asking price in May.

Recently renovated, the two bedroom, two bathroom abode has an open-plan layout, with views of the district and the water.
