Retired racing car champion Mark Skaife and wife, Toni, have sold their Toorak family home.

The Kooyong Road sale price has not been revealed after the weekend RT Edgar auction.

It was bought in 2009 for $2.93 million in Toni's name.

The six-time Bathurst 1000 champion’s home was passed in at $3.9 million, then sold after its weekend auction.

Two buyers took part in the sluggish bidding before the underbidder struck a deal, the Herald Sun noted.

They previously lived in another Toorak home, an apartment which was sold around 2007.

Skaife was a five time champion of the V8 Supercar Series.
