Macquarie Bank Limited CEO and managing director Mary Reemst and her husband Greg are selling their Avoca Beach weekender in The Lighthouse.

It sits in one of the coastal suburb's priciest blocks, the same where 2GB radio broadcaster Alan Jones sold in last year.

He scored $4.65 million for his 450 square metre apartment which has three bedrooms, a separate massage therapy room and a grand entertaining terrace with plunge pool. It had been a pricey $5,000 a week rental.

Jones paid $4.5 million in 2008.

Reemst and George will expect stronger price growth on their unit in the boutique block of six on the Avoca Beach hillside designed by renowned architect Cathy Slater.

The 295 sqm Cliff Avenue apartment cost the couple $2 million in 2003 and has three bedrooms and a private plunge pool. Reemst and George and the longest owners. Every apartment has traded for over $3 million.

George Brand Avoca Beach agents Kyle Brand and Amelia O'Donnell have the listing with $3.5 million hopes.

Reemst was appointed managing director and CEO of Macquarie Bank Limited in 2014 having been Macquarie's head of credit within the risk management group.

She served in that role for 11 years.
