Bec and Lleyton Hewitt have adjusted the price guidance on their three-storey Palm Beach retreat.

They initially were seeking more than $5.5 million. Late last month the guidance was reduced to $5 million plus.

They married in July 2005, having settled the property purchase just two weeks before. The Elenberg Fraser Road house cost $4.4 million.

The couple, parents to three kids, Mia, Cruz and Ava, live mostly in the Bahamas, buying a home in Nassau in 2009 for $3.8 million.

The now redundant Sydney northern beaches' weekender is listed with Glenn Lee of Raine & Horne Elenberg Fraser.

Meanwhile Australia's former consul-general in New York, businessman Phillip Scanlan and his wife Julie secured around $5 million earlier this month for their Palm Beach retreat on Florida Road.
