A Lewis Coote-designed Deepdene trophy home has been listed for sale.

The single level home at 1B Angle Road sits in a garden oasis with a private swimming pool.

Modernist Australia suggests it was a very early 70s Lewis Coote designed home.

"The C-shaped floor plan will sucker in the MCM die-hards," it suggested.

"This lovely residence hopefully will attract some form of live-in owner and disperse that sulphuric stench of development which envelops such duel access, school-zoney property," it concluded.

The home last traded for $972,000 in 2005.

It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a study.

Kay & Burton Hawthorn agents Daniel Bradd and Scott Patterson are marketing the home with a $2.65 million to $2.95 million guide.
