Rugby league legend Allan 'Alfie' Langer and wife Janine have sold their Sunshine Coast apartment.

They paid a savvy $865,000 for the apartment in 2016, given the three bedroom unit sold for $1.26 million when new in 2010.

They have secured a $955,000 sale, after asking offers over $949,000.

The open plan beachfront apartment has a beach-facing balcony with views across Bulcock Beach to Bribie Island.

REMAX Caloundra agent Lachlan Anderson sold the apartment.

Langar, the Rugby League hall of famer, is currently on the coaching panel at the Brisbane Broncos, as well as with the Australian national team.

A bronze statue of Langar was revealed earlier this year outside Suncorp.
