Larrakeyah, an expansive rural Talgai homestead in Queensland’s Darling Downs region, has been listed for sale.

Located at 111 Donovan Road, the estate is set on 175ha of fertile farmland and includes four Queenslander homes that were transported more than 175 kilometres.

The 860 sqm Talgai residence includes 23 rooms, five wood-burning fireplaces and a generously proportioned veranda.

Its offerings include seven bedrooms, three bathrooms, views to the Great Diving Range, and rows of garden beds, as well as two kitchens, one domestic and one commercial.

The commercial kitchen includes stainless steel benchtops, three refrigerators, a restaurant-quality gas stove, and a walk-in larder.

Sotheby’s International agent Michael Vettoretto is be marketing the property.

"It has the potential to be anything the owner wants," he said.

The home’s eastern wing has potential to be operated as an Airbnb-styled accommodation with a spacious living room, kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and a private entrance.

"The seven bedrooms mean if someone wanted to buy it with the intention of turning it into a unique homestay, they would be able to", Vettoretto said.
