The Federal Financial Services minister Kelly O’Dwyer sold her South Yarra home of 10 years at weekend auction.

The Hawksburn Road home sold for an undisclosed sum, immediately after it was passed in for $2.66 million through RT Edgar’s Mark Wridgway.

Wridgway took bids from three parties.

O’Dwyer told The Herald Sun she and husband Jon Mant were selling the four-bedroom Edwardian to find a house with a bigger backyard within her Higgins electorate, with daughter Olivia growing up and another baby due next month.

The couple had paid $1.5 million for the home in 2007.

Elsewhere in South Yarra, aged care developer John Matthies paid $7.3 million for a four-bedroom, two-storey house at The Righi through RT Edgar agent Jeremy Fox.

It was a deceased estate.

Weekend auctions also saw the $3.95 million sale of Sussex House at 66 Park Street.

There were two bidders for the three bedroom home that last traded for $2.25 million in 2010.
