Kahlbetzer's Twynam selling three farms - but not off market
The Kahlbetzer's Twynam Agricultural Group has publicly listed three of its Lachlan River frontage properties for sale by expression of interest campaign closing March 12.
The properties, which include Jemalong Station, Jemalong Citrus at Forbes and Merrowie at Hillston, cover 46,000 hectares.
They were being quietly offered for sale, but under new FIRB rules from February 1 they have to be publicly advertised for at least 30 days in order to be sold to foreigners.
The Kahlbetzer family's wealth has been estimated by the Financial Review at $841 million. The farm offerings could total $100 million plus.

Johnny Kahlbetzer confirmed the bush chatter adding that there were plenty of buyers.
It pioneered cotton properties in the Riverina starting with the purchase of Merrowie in 1991.
Twynam has appointed Gary Johnston of Johnston Rural Group Forbes and Bruce Gunning of Ray White Rural International Sydney.
