Retired AFL star Jonathan Brown and his wife Kylie have scored a windfall result for their former Gold Coast hinterland home.

The couple scored $3.5 million for the 2.3 hectare Currumbin Valley retreat, having paid $2.5 million when Brown was still playing for the Lions back in 2013.

There were six bidders for the estate sold through McGrath Palm Beach agent Richard Snowden on behalf of the now Camberwell-based family.

Brown spent $4 million in 2016 on the 1910 home.
