Jobe Watson secures first purchase as a buyer's advocate
The former Essendon captain Jobe Watson has secured a buy for a client in his new role as a Melbourne real estate buyer’s advocate.
The Infolio Property Advisors director nabbed a two-bedroom Kensington house for interstate clients at $1.03 million.
He told the Sunday Herald Sun that 34 The Ridgeway (pictured above) was the first property he’d bought in his new role.
Watson said he was initially a client of Infolio.
He then did some work experience for the agency.
He purchased equity in the company in 2016.
He began as a buyer’s advocate after his 220-game AFL career came to an end last season.
“I really love property. It’s been my transition for after footy,” he said.
“It’s a good balanced market — there are really good opportunities for buyers. There’s also some real competition for good properties.”
Watson’s clients paid $80,000 above reserve for the dated Victorian on 201 square metres.
It last changed hands for just $175,500 in 1998.
