Jet founder puts his money where his mouth is and buys in Hollywood

It’s not goodbye Hollywood for Australian band founder Chris Cester. It’s been reported he’s spent $US1,875,000 on a 1924 Hollywood house.

The 171-square-metre home comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The purchase is set in Laurel Canyon.

He has his current four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Hollywood on the market for $US1,075,000.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 519 home sales in Hollywood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of US$700,000. Trulia says the average list price for Hollywood Hills is US$1.9 million.

Cester who formed the band Jet with his brother Nic Cester,  grew up in Dingley Village, a suburb just out of Melbourne.
