Pegasus, a Palm Beach headland house, remains for sale having been passed in on a $6.2 million vendor bid.

Located at 18 Rock Bath Road, Pegasus has a northern aspect with views across Palm Beach.

It was last traded in the 1970s when bought by the now retired law professor Jane Swanton. Ms Swanton was the first female graduate of the law school to be appointed to the lecturing staff of Sydney University.

With two storeys each floor can be used independently of each other.

It offers four to five bedrooms and two bathrooms all mostly in its original condition.

Sitting on 1144 sqm, the property only has on-street parking available, however there is the suggested possibility to construct a driveway with approval.

Located next to the public pathway at the south end of the beach, the property was offered through LJ Hooker agents David Edwards and Peter Robinson.

There were $12 million hopes last year.
