There is a $6 million asking price for the Eureka Tower apartment of the film director Fred Schepisi.

His luxury three-bedroom, three bathroom apartment in the Southbank tower has been listed by Kay & Burton.

The 291 sqm space sits on the 73rd floor. It comes with six car spaces.

Schepisi and wife Mary plan to spend more time at their Mornington Peninsula vineyard.

The 7307/7 Riverside Quay apartment was last sold in 2007 at $3.15 million, according to CoreLogic, after being marketed by RT Edgar's David Herman and Jeremy Fox.

The Schepisi's former home was a house in South Yarra.
