Interior designer Louella Tuckey has bought a quaint home in the Byron Bay hinterland.

The 1910 Bangalow cottage cost $901,000.

It initially had a guide of $949,000 to $1.04 million.

Set on 570 sqm near the town centre, the home has hardwood floors, timber-lined walls and a north-facing veranda.

Harcourts Northern Rivers agent Brett McDonald sold the property’s zoning allows commercial use.

The property has a traditional gypsy caravan which was voted one of eight most interesting Airbnb properties in Australia.

Her former husband the bespoke furniture maker Mark Tuckey awaits a buyer for his $4.25 million Clareville Beach offering.

It is locally known as the Home And Away house, with the garden used as a location.

Belle Property Avalon agent Mark Griffin is marketing the home which last sold at $3.1 million in 2009.

Set on 900 sqm, the classic beach home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms features floor-to-ceiling glass, taking in views across Pittwater to Lion Island.
