Claire Larritt-Evans, the Melbourne interior decorator, has sold her Caulfield South home for $780,000.

The art deco-era family home had three bedrooms.

There were open fireplaces in the living and dining rooms.

Gary Peer agents Leor Samuel and Aviv Samuel had initial low $700,000 price expectations.

The pretty 886A Glenhuntly Road traded at $595,000 in 2011.

The dining room is the hub of the graceful 1920s home that has had a contemporary makeover by Claire Larritt-Evans and her husband Scott Larritt, a creative director at a design and branding agency.

RP Data puts the suburb's median at around $1,077,000.
