Industrie fashionista Nick Kelly lodges legal claim over harbourfront home in Vaucluse

Fashionista Nick Kelly, co-founder of Industrie clothing, and his former wife and business partner Susan Kelly, are yet to formally list their matrimonial harbourfront home in Vaucluse.

It was last sold for $19 million in 2013, with the title just in her name.

But it seems the legalities are quietly at play. Nick recently had his lawyers lodge a caveat on its title claiming equity in the property.

The caveat lodged by Sekel Grinberg Judd claims a "beneficial interest in trust".

"The caveator has a good and valid claim to the estate or interest claimed as specified," the paperwork suggested.

It is a Graham Jahn-designed waterfront on Kutti Beach, one of just the seven beachfront houses in the scenic location with postcard perfect images across Sydney Harbour.

Nick Kelly has since bought Lactura, the Centennial Park home of TV veteran David Leckie and wife Skye and has been squiring Madeleine Kennard, the Channel 7 producer who now works at Industrie.

The late 2017 purchase marked a return to the south of Oxford Street precinct for him.

The Kelly's had previously owned a Paddington double terrace on Stewart Street which was caught up in the landmark court case when actor Toni Collette decided not to proceed with her $6.35 million purchase in 2011.
