Ian Thorpe lists Los Angeles home again
Olympic swimming legend Ian Thorpe has listed his Laurel Canyon home for $US950,000.
The five-time gold medallist paid $US879,000 for the two-bedroom home in 2006.
Nestled in a hill, the home dates back to the early 1960s.
The home has been renovated with a new deck, new railing, roof and new appliances, while original details include leaded glass doors and hidden storage.
There are views of Laurel Canyon and the hills from the casual verandah.
There are two bedrooms and one bathroom, a breezy living area and kitchen, a wood-panelled office.
The home has been listed with Denise Hamilton of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
The Hollywood hideaway treetop escape in the Laurel Canyon area of Hollywood Hills was a 1960s artist retreat originally owned by actor John Compton.
Nicknamed the Thorpedo, Thorpe is famous for his performances in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic games. The swimmer secured five gold medals in the pool and is one of Australia's most decorated Olympians.
