Horticulturalist Virginia Heywood sells in Clifton Hill

Horticulturalist Virginia Heywood has secured $2.3 million for her Clifton Hill home, deciding to spend more time at her six hectare Seville, Yarra Valley property.

Heywood, daughter of the respected late football commentator Doug Heywood, bought the Clifton Hill property for about $1.8 million in 2008.

The warehouse-style, three-bedroom Clifton Hill home has a study, expansive living and dining area and a courtyard and rear garden.

The horticulturalist, who who can be heard on the 3CR 855AM gardening show, sold through Peter Stephens of Nelson Alexander who had expected a sale between $2 to $2.5 million.
