Professional golfer Geoff Ogilvy is selling his US home as he prepares to move back to Australia.

The Adelaide-born golfer is reported to be moving back to Melbourne after Christmas with wife Juli and their three kids, so they've listed their Scottsdale Arizona home that has a Camelback Mountain backdrop.

Ogilvy custom built the 715 square metre, six bedroom, eight bathroom home on 3000 square metres in 2013.

The entertainer features a great room with a restaurant-inspired wet bar.

The kitchen opens to the grounds with walkways leading to a lap pool, spa, outdoor fireplace and fit pit.

He's asking for US$4.75 million (A$6.5 million).

Ogilvy's greatest achievement in golf was winning the 2006 U.S. Open.

He has won three World Golf Championships over his two decade career where he's earned over US$30 million.

The family have owned at Black Rock, since 2009 when buying directly backing onto Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
