Hawkesbury River log cabin Sentry Rock sold to Louise Cordina
Sentry Rock, the Hawkesbury River log cabin that belonged to horse racing couple Bob and Wendy Lapointe, has finally settled.
It's been bought by Louise Cordina, chief executive officer of Cordina Farms, one of Australia's premier chicken meat businesses.
She's paid $4.5 million for the Appalachian Log Homes built residence which was a favourite getaway for the late Sydney stockbroker Rene Rivkin.
Rivkin built the home in the late 1990s with three bedrooms, but the Lapointe's have since renovated and expanded, adding an extra wing, after paying $1.45 million in 2011.
Rivkin would either fly or boat to the secluded riverfront some 60 kilometres north west of Sydney.
Ray White Windsor agent Peter Chidgey sold the home.
Bob Lapointe imported Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut and Sizzler to Australia.
Cordina has been the CEO at one family ran Cordina Farms since 2010 having moved through the ranks after joining full time in 1996.
She is still looking for a buyer for her luxury waterfront at Wagstaffe on the Central Coast.
The Kevin Snell-designed home on 1960 sqm has 180 degree views from Ettalong to Brisbane Water.
