Hartog Berkeley's Nooken Farm, Thornton listed with $10 million hopes

Nooken Farm, the Victorian rural estate run by the late Victorian Solicitor-General, Hartog Berkeley has been listed for sale.

It comes with $10 million price hopes through Elders.

The 378-hectare Thornton property is near the township of Alexandra in the Yarra Ranges.

It has operated as a renowned Hereford Poll stud farm since the late 1970s. There's two cattle yards, a machinery shed and workshops.

Its modern homestead complex offers views over the Rubicon Valley at 1235 Taggerty-Thornton Road.

It features a 20 metre solar-heated swimming pool.

The listing comes after the death of Berkeley in 2017, aged 88.
