A renovated apartment situated in Elizabeth Bay's 1960s building Ithaca Gardens has hit the market.

The unit, at 602/12 Ithaca Road, is one of two apartments on level 6 in the building's east wing.

The 86 square metre home comprises two bedrooms, large living and dining area, a wide covered balcony, Smeg gas kitchen, and renovated bathrooms.

It also features harbour views.

The building was designed by architect Harry Seidler.

It was the winner of NSW Architecture and Arts Award in 1960.

It is situated within close proximity to Beare Park, cafes, shops and city buses.

The apartment last sold in 2014, for $1.262 million.

Tristan Bassey and Ian Campbell, from Ray White Elizabeth Bay, have the listing.
