A classic Haberfield Federation house near Dobroyd Point has led Sydney's weekend’s auction sales, according to Australian Property Monitors.

Set on an 835 square metre block, the four bedroom property fetched $2.4 million, $100,000 over initial marketing expectations through Ray White Haberfield inconjunction with Alfio Musumeci of Raine & Horne Haberfield.

The likely selling price was revised to over $2.4 million closer to the auction.

Haberfield has a median sale price of $1,315,000 which has appreciated by 1.9% over the past year, according to RP Data.

The house at 10 Crescent Street has been offered as a rental property, most recently in 2010 for $995 a week; an increase on the $850 that was being asked in 2008.
