GWS Giants star Toby Greene, who has just secured a six year deal with the club, bought his first home during the off-season.

The star forward has bought in Drummoyne, where, judging may his instragram, he's clearly fallen for the sunsets over the bay.

He's spent $1.84 million on a charming Federation semi, dating back to circa 1910.

The 24 year old paid around $350,000 under the median house price in Drummoyne which according to CoreLogic sits at $2.2 million.

His new contract, the biggest in the Giants short history, ties him to the club until 2024, with a salary expected to be around $800,000 to $1 million a year.

Greene, who hails from Victoria, has already played 117 games for the club since being picked up in the 2011 draft when he was 18.

He made an instant impact in the club's first season in 2012, winning the best first year player award.

Like most of his team mates, he started off renting in Sydney at Breakfast Point.

In 2016 he was selected in the All-Australian team as the half-forward flank.

Upon signing the big money contract earlier this week, which stands as one of the longest in the AFL, Greene took to Instagram.

Accompanying a couple of pictures from his time at the Giants was the caption: "Proud and excited to share the next 6 years of my journey with @gwsgiants #letthegoodtimesroll."

His new home, which he'll no doubt be sharing with long-time girlfriend Marley Gordon, has views over Iron Cove Bay and Rodd Island.

It has two bedrooms, one bathrooms, a formal dining room and a north facing courtyard on its 200 sqm parcel

A Corbelled arch entry hall is one of its few remaining periods features.

The wide-fronted semi marketed as offering scope to reconfigure to a three bedroom home or to add a second level.

Cobden & Hayson Drummoyne agents Frank Colacicco and Mia Fredrix sold the home.

The Giants, which open their season against the Western Bulldogs, face their eastern suburbs inclined rivals, the Swans in round three under the lights at the SCG.
