Golf champion Rodger Davis finally finds Burleigh Heads home buyer

The Burleigh Heads home of legendary former Australian Open golf champion Rodger Davis is under contract.

The sale has been nearly a decade in the making for Davis, who initially listed the Skyline Terrace home in 2008, just two years after paying $2.25 million.

On and off the market since then, the home has eventually sold through Black Label Proeprty Broadbeach agent Andrew Ramsey who was asking offers over $2.1 million.

Upon its 2015 listing it was asking $1.99 million.

Set on 1,144 square metres with views to Surfers Paradise, the four bedroom Mediterranean-inspired home has a gourmet kitchen, wine cellar and pool.

Davis had a long career in professional golf and featured at The Masters, U.S Open and The British Open Championship, where he finished runner-up in 1987.

The former world top-10 golfer is still playing having taken out the Australian Senior PGA two years ago.
