There’s good news for former Cronulla Sharks star Ben Barba.

He’s finally managed to offload his former Brisbane home after just under a year on the market. He got $800,000 for it, having sought offers over $849,000 when first listed.

The price for the four-bedroom Everton Park home was revised down to offers over $799,000 before its sale.

Barba paid $769,000 in 2013, after his move to the Broncos. He only spent one season at Red Hill before moving to the Sharks.

It was a better result for Barba than he had on his Shire home.

Barba, now a labourer in North Queensland after being deregistered from the NRL for a string of high-profile incidents, sold his former Caringbah South home for $1,085,000 last year, nearly $100,000 less than he paid five years earlier.
